BUSINESSES in North Ayrshire are set to be given the opportunity to advertise their wares on the council's vehicles.
North Ayrshire Council (NAC) announced this week that it's signed a deal with advertising and marketing firm Roadvert to give businesses in the area the chance to promote themselves with an ad on the local authority's vehicle fleet.
Councillor Tony Gurney, the local authority's cabinet member for green environment and economy at North Ayrshire Council, said: “None of us are strangers to being innovative.
"What is new is the scale of the economic and social challenges facing us. We are finding new and affordable ways of working to benefit our businesses and residents.
“This initiative adds to our portfolio of advertising and sponsorship opportunities that have been built on making the best use of our land and assets.
"We are ambitious and optimistic for the future and believe we can provide cost-effective promotional opportunities to support the growth of our businesses during these challenging times.”
The cost will depend on the campaign selected with a minimum commitment of three months.
For more information on how to advertise, please contact Roadvert via email on info@roadvert.com, online at roadvertmedia.co.uk or by calling 0800 772 0808.
Earlier this year the council announced plans to allow firms to take out advertising at key roundabouts on the North Ayrshire roads network.
