THE rain couldn't dampen the fun at Ardrossan's Whitlees Gala Day at the weekend.
The crowds turned out in force for the grand parade, despite the wet weather.
This year's royal party - Queen Violet Millar aged 10, King Kaelan Brown, 11, Princess Marnie Morgan, 10, and Prince Bradley O'Neill aged nine - were crowned in style to cheers from all
And throughout the afternoon young and old enjoyed all the favourite stalls, rides and games.
The Whitlees Gala Committee said on their Facebook page: "Well as per, the weather doesn't show up for us BUT as per YOU did.
"Thank you to everyone who came today despite the weather. A great day regardless.
"Thank you to the Winton Band, Jays fair, C&J party hire, Gateside for the ponies, Cunningham Flowers, the piper, the committee and the volunteers and to all our families who have to deal with us stressing and we don't get to see them on the day.
"A massive thank you to our 2023 Gala Court - you did us all so proud and looked stunning."
