ARDROSSAN is set to gain a 'new' sports bar in the coming days.
It comes as the old Lauriston Bar on South Crescent Road is set to re-open, after closing for refurbishment.
As has been teased on social media, upon relaunch, the bar will open up rebranded as Laurie's Sports Bar and Kitchen.
The busy boozer, which is attached to the Lauriston Hotel restuarant, closed its doors after June 11 to allow for work to take place.
At the time, it was estimated that the bar would be closed for around three weeks so that work could take place.
If those timescales remain accurate, that would see Laurie's Sports Bar open for the first time around the week beginning Monday, July 3.
Few updates on the work have been provided since the closure, except one picture from the day that work began.
It is a change which has left punters excited with some locals saying they "can't wait to see it finished".
While the bar say that it is "out with the old and in with the new" one popular rule will remain unchanged - with the pub to remain a dog friendly space.
And though it is yet to confirm re-opening dates, it has already been confirmed that the bar will host local amateur football side Kilwinning AFC for food and drinks after their matches going forward.
So while a lot is still being left to the imgination, it certainly seems like exciting times are ahead for sports fans in the Three Towns.
