POLICE have renewed their appeals to help trace a man reported missing from Arran.
Mariusz Robert Batyra, 49, was last seen on the island five days ago.
His last known sighting was on Thursday, June 29, at around 7.40am.
Police investigations have established that at that time Mariusz was seen on Shore Road in the Lamlash area - opposite the Ship House stores.
He is described as white, around five feet and 10 inches tall and of stocky build.
Mariusz has brown, greying hair, and was last seen wearing grey shorts, a blue jumper/hoodie and a blue/navy Nike rucksack.
Police have now been trying to trace the islander for some time, and are hoping the public can now assist in their investigations.
Inspector Stuart Dougan said: “We have been working to establish Mariusz's movements before he was reported missing and extensive searches have been carried out, but sadly so far without success.
“We now are confident that he was in Shore Road on Thursday, 29 June, 2023 around 7.40am.
"I appreciate some time has now passed but I would urge people to think back.
"Please let us know as soon as possible if you believe you might have any information that could help.”
If you can help, call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1280 of Saturday, July 1, 2023.
