A SALTCOATS care home is to open its doors to the public tomorrow, Saturday August 5.
Arran View Care Home on Burns Avenue are to welcome all as it hosts its popular summer fayre.
The event is "open to all" with the care home inviting everyone to come along to the event, whether or not they have any relations in the home.
They hope to help break down barriers at the fayre, which is being held to raise money for their residents' comfort fund.
Arran View will open its doors for the fayre from 10am on Saturday, with the event running until 3pm.
A special celebrity guest will be opening the event with "the one and only Grado" heading along to the event, which should provide plenty of fun for everyone.
A caricaturist and face painter will be at the fayre and owls will be visiting the home, as well as Maggie's Muddy Mutts.
There will be plenty of games to get involved with, including a beat the goalie, bean bag toss, hook a duck and an opportunity to "win the giant teddy".
There are even more chances for prizes to be won at the fayre's bottle stall, while a raffle will also be taking place.
And plenty of food will be on offer, with burgers, hotdogs and homebaking all to be sold, which you can wash down with a tea, coffee or can of juice.
Dog owners can also head along to the event - as long as their pet pooch is kept on a lead.
The fayre is also to feature a dog show at 1pm, which is only £2 to enter.
There are two prizes to be won in the show - for the "waggiest tail" and for the dog who looks most like their owner!
It's sure to be a wonderful event - which residents have put a lot of effort into - and one not to be missed.
