AN ARDROSSAN Academicals youth rugby starlet has earned his chance to shine on the national stage.
The club were delighted to confirm last week that young star Neil Mulholland had been selected for the Glasgow and West regional squad.
The hard-carrying, abrasive forward successfully made his way through selection at the regional talent identification hub at Cumnock RFC and into the elite squad over the course of spring and summer 2023.
And the club's under-15 star showed such good form that he propelled himself into the starting line-up of the Glasgow and West squad for their encounter with Edinburgh last week.
The game ended in a draw, but with further inter-regional fixtures in the near future, Neil will have ample opportunity to show off his uncompromising skills.
Further regional matches will see Neil and his teammates tackle the best that the other regions of Scotland has to offer - a true chance to show that he is one of the nation's top talents.
A representative from the Accies commented: "Congratulations and good luck going forward Neil."
