DRIVERS users in Ardrossan are going to have to get used to a change in the road layout.
It comes after a new roundabout was installed on a busy stretch of road.
Previously, those travelling along Sorbie Road who wanted to turn down onto South Beach Road would simply indicate and turn down the road towards the seafront.
For those continuing on Sorbie Road, it was just a matter of driving round the bend as the road becomes Caledonia Road in Saltcoats.
But a new roundabout means that this is no longer the case.
The structure has been erected at the junction between the two roads, which are located only metres away from Ardrossan Academy.
It follows a period of roadworks on Caledonia Road and Sorbie Road where the road was been resurfaced before road markings were put down once again yesterday, Thursday, August 17.
While the change in driving behaviour should be straighforward, it may take some getting used to and road users should be aware.
