A Three Towns man allegedly barged into another man's house and punched him on the head while out on bail.
Gordon Sawyers, 44, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court facing charges of assault and threatening or abusive behaviour in Saltcoats.
It's alleged Mr Sawyers caused fear and alarm after barging into an address in St Cuthberts Court on July 20 this year while threatening violence.
Court papers state he then seized hold of the man by the clothing, then dragged him into the hall, causing him to fall.
The Procurator Fiscal depute's charge alleges Mr Sawyers then repeatedly punched him on the head to his injury.
It's alleged Mr Sawyers committed the offences while out on bail, previously granted on May 19 at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
Mr Sawyers, of St Lawrence Place, Saltcoats pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was granted bail and told not to approach or contact the complainer.
He will return to court at a later date.
