CalMac have announced the Ardrossan to Brodick ferry service will return to normal tomorrow, after a technical problem on the MV Caledonian Isles was fixed.
A number of sailings were cancelled yesterday after the ferry company said there had been a failure of the governor on the starboard main engine aboard the vessel.
But the full service is due to resume today, with the 6pm sailing from Ardrossan to Brodick, then the 7.20pm departing from Brodick.
This afternoon, CalMac announced on their Twitter feed: "The technical issue affecting MV Caledonian Isles Governor on the Starboard Main Engine has now been resolved.
"Due to this we are now able to re-instate the previously cancelled 18:00 departing Ardrossan and 19:20 departing Brodick. This sailing will be non -bookable and will be managed by the port offices.
"The service on Sunday, September 3 will operate as timetabled."
Friday and Saturday's cancellations hit a number of tourists planning to head to Arran for the weekend.
Earlier today, (Saturday), the ferry firm revealed due to the reduced passenger capacity, foot passengers were not guaranteed travel on the day.
They said on Twitter: "Due to reduced passenger capacity, sailings have now reached maximum capacity, therefore foot passengers are not guaranteed travel today.
"Priority will be given to passengers who were previously booked on cancelled sailings."
