A WOMAN has been charged in connection with alleged drugs offences after heroin was seized from a property in North Ayrshire.
It follows the Garnock Valley local policing team and dogs units executing a search warrant at a property in Beith.
Today (Tuesday, September 5) they attended a property on Meadowside in the town - where a quantity of heroin was discovered.
Following the find, a 47-year-old woman was charged with alleged drug offences.
In light of the seizure of these drugs, top cops from the area said they will continue to target the supply of drugs in the area.
They also encouraged locals to pass any information they may have to the police and they will act upon this intelligence.
Sergeant Douglas Clark said: "We are committed to targeting the illegal supply of drugs in our communities."
"We rely on members of the public to provide us with information, and any information we receive will be taken seriously and acted upon.
"We encourage anyone with information about suspicious activity to contact Police Scotland on 101 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
