An Ardrossan woman has appeared in court over claims that she injured another woman by throwing boiling water over her from a window.
Angela Campbell denies the charge, which arose from an alleged incident at the short-stay hostel in the town earlier this year.
It’s alleged that the 55-year-old poured the boiling water out of a window at 87 Princes Street on April 11 this year, causing it to strike the second woman on the head and body to her injury.
The charge states that the second woman was engaged in the course of her employment during the alleged incident.
Ms Campbell, whose address was given on the Crown’s indictment as c/o HM Prison Edinburgh, pleaded not guilty to the charge during a brief hearing at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
She was remanded in custody and will return to court to face the allegation at a later date.
