TRAINS between Kilwinning and the Three Towns are experiencing disruption due to issues at Saltcoats station.
In the past hour ScotRail says it received reports of "an object caught on the overhead wires" around the station.
It added: "Staff are on their way and will be onsite shortly."
The rail operator stated that the lines have now re-opened, adding that delays are still possible.
There is set to be disruption on the train lines between Glasgow and Ardrossan Harbour and from the city to Largs until at least 12.30pm today, Tuesday, September 26.
ScotRail says that some services will be delayed and revised and advises passengers checking ahead before making their journey.
