A SALTCOATS woman has been handed a drive ban after losing control of her vehicle in a supermarket car park.
Sandra Lynn, 65, lost control when she was driving within the car park at Tesco supermarket in West Shaw Street in Kilmarnock.
Lynn, of Harley Place, pleaded guilty to one charge during a brief appearance at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.
She admitted to driving her car at the supermarket with "towels or similar" wrapped around the pedals.
Court papers state that she then lost control of her vehicle, causing it to strike a number of other vehilces which were within the car park.
As a result, she was handed a £290 fine and was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
