A MAN has denied accusations of staging a 'dirty protest' at Ayrshire's only prison.
Jamie Cameron, 29, pleaded not guilty in relation to a pair of charges regarding an incident at HMP Kilmarnock.
The Crown alleges that Cameron seized fixtures, fitting and contents there and pulled and threw them around - causing damage to them.
He is also accused of putting faeces and urine on walls and the floor at the building.
A further charge alleges that Cameron, of Canal Street, Saltcoats, threw a bottle containing faeces and urine at people within the prison, hitting one man and causing the bottle's contents to strike him on the body.
Both alleged incidents happened on October 17 last year.
Cameron was granted bail after entering his pleas of not guilty, and will return to court next year to stand trial.
