Friends of Kirktonhall Glen in West Kilbride is seeking a new chair.
The group was established in 2021 as a sub-group of West Kilbride Community Council.
It brings together representatives of a number of local organisations including the community council itself, the West Kilbride Initiative, the Sports Clubs, the Civic Society and youth organisations.
Collectively, they are committed to improving the general maintenance of the Glen and the facilities in it.
Friends of Kirktonhall Glen has worked closely with North Ayrshire Council to improve paths, bridges and open spaces and has plans for further enhancements to this very important park which, remarkably, runs from near the railway station, almost to the beach.
The current chair is about to retire and an energetic and committed successor is being sought.
Expressions of interest would now be welcomed and should be sent to the Community Council at wkcc1620@gmail.com,with the heading FOKG.
Anyone who may be interested can obtain further information on what is involved by emailing the same address, and using the same heading.
