Described as a "popular public house" the freehold property is for sale at a price of £170,000 with estate agents Rightbiz.

Due to the confidential nature of the listing the bar has not been specified but Ardrossan is home to only four pubs: Jack's Corner; Charlie's Bar; Alfie's Bar and Laurie's Sports Bar at the Lauriston Hotel.

However, Laurie's Sports Bar has recently been upgraded and due to further details within the listing it is unlikely that this is the business in question.

While the sale is confidential, some further details of the business - which also includes a flat - are indicated from the online listing.

The pub is described as "featuring a large bar area" and weekly turnover is described as being around £6,000.

Business details add: "This Historical Bar was purchased by our clients 21 years ago during which it has been trading successfully.
