RAIN was poring down on McGavin Park on Monday, November 6 - but that didn't stop the town turning out in force for the community fireworks display.
Volunteers from Kilwinning Community Events ploughed their efforts into putting on a spectacular display - which certainly came to fruition.
Dubbed "Ayrshire's best firework display" by organisers, the show offered much more than a display for all those in attendance.
Food outlets and kids' rides made for a fantastic night of fun for all the family before the main events had even took place.
These kicked off with a blaze of glory as fire acts performed to dazzle onlookers at McGavin Park.
While organisers looked to make the event inclusive for all and arranged a shorter, and quieter, family show earlier in the evening.
The came the grand finale as the "big show" was launched lighting the skies with dazzling colours.
In light of the event, the organisers looked to thank all those who made it possible - including those who donated before attending the event, which made all of this possible.
A spokesperson said: "Kilwinning Community Events would like to thank everyone who attended and donated to support the fireworks in McGavin Park on Monday Night.
"It wasn’t the driest of night but all who attended seemed to have a great experience at the event put on by volunteers.
"We would like to thank Moonlight Storm who put in such a great display, Bridgend Garage, R&L Miller, Pennyburn TARA, Palmer Brothers, Danny Kerr, Darren Young, Police Scotland Youth Volunteers, Coastwatch, North Ayrshire Council and Police Scotland."
While group chairman and local councillor Donald Reid hailed the show as the best around.
He added: "It's a lot of work with a bit more paperwork this year with the enhanced requirements of anyone who organises firework displays.
"We hope everyone had a great night as what’s been described as Ayrshires best fireworks display.
"We are a very small group who put the event on and are always looking for more help to put these events on."
