It appears that Harvey Gilmour may be edging closer to signing for a new side.
The young midfielder from Ardrossan is the younger brother of one of Ayrshire's finest football talents Billy Gilmour - and has proved to have a fair bit of ability himself.
The 18-year-old signed a professional contract with the county's Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock in May 2022, and went on to feature on a number of occasions for their youth teams the following season.
Though his time at Rugby Park came to an end almost exactly a year later with the club seemingly opting not to extend his stay in East Ayrshire - despite having spent the last decade within the youth set up.
Harvey has been without a full-time club since, though the youngster has been linked with some big-time moves.
National media outlets have reported how the talented Three Towns teen had been handed a trial chance with the youth sides at his brothers club Brighton and Hove Albion.
It is understood that he has also featured as a trialist a little bit closer to home.
It comes after Kilwinning Rangers under 20s posted recent images on social media referring to assist makers at the club, which featured the name Harvey Gilmour notching one assist.
While a further post from their recent match against Neilston had the same name listed as a trialist amongst the substitutes.
And it has now been confirmed that this name is that of the famous Gilmour footballing family.
Though what is still unclear is if this will be a long-term move for young Harvey - or if he has his sights set elsewhere.
