YOUNG Ardeer Thistle players were left starstruck at the weekend as they bumped into a famous face before their match.
The club's 2009 side were at Bearsden Academy on Saturday, November 18, for a challenging match away to Westerton united.
But before they stepped out on the pitch, they were able to get a bit of extra motivation from Rangers striker Kemar Roofe.
The Jamaica international was at the school where his own son was playing football around the same time as Ardeer were preparing for their match.
After being approached by one of the Stevenston side's players, Roofe was "more than happy" to pose for a few snaps.
The Old Firm star wished the boys the best of luck in their match, and was described as an "absolute gentleman" by those at the club.
Unfortunately, Ardeer would lose their match 5-2 on Saturday - though their trip to the away game is sure to have given some young stars a memory that will last a lifetime.
