KILWINNING'S 'wonky' Christmas tree certainly got the community to rally round.
After being asked whether the tree should remain in place for the town's big Christmas lights switch-on, the overwhelming response was 'yes'.
Now, after saving the tilted tree, locals are once again being asked to get involved in celebrating its differences - by naming it.
Organisers of the light switch-on, Choose Kilwinning, are now asking for people to come forward and name the tree.
They are taking suggestions on their Facebook page - and the winning name, and two runners-up, will be announced on stage at the switching-on event on Saturday, November 25.
These top three names will be awarded prizes following the grand unveiling at 3.30pm
First place will receive a £15 voucher for the town's Koolerz store - and their name will be displayed on the tree throughout December.
Second and third place will receive a £10 and £5 voucher for the shop respectively.
Though if you plan on entering you will need to think fast, an entry will be closed at 5pm on Thursday, November 23.
Aaran McDonald, chair of Choose Kilwinning, added: "As always the people of Kilwinning have sent a clear message that you don’t have to be perfect to be accepted here in Kilwinning.
"Our wonky tree is a symbol of the true message of Christmas.
"We can’t wait to see everyone on Saturday and look forward to announcing the name of our tree!”
