One man was taken to hospital following a car collision on the A78 south of Fairlie.
The incident happened shortly after 9am on Tuesday, November 21 and resulted a driver being charged.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10am on Tuesday, November 21, officers were called to a report of a two-car crash on the A78 between Hunterston and Fairlie.
“Emergency services attended and one man was taken to Crosshouse Hospital as a precaution.
“One driver has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.”
