A SALTCOATS man has admitted assaulting a staff member at a top Largs hotel by throwing a phone at him.
Scott Walker pleaded guilty to charges of assault and threatening or abusive behaviour following an incident at the Brisbane House Hotel earlier this year.
Walker admitted throwing the phone and other items at the man and trying to punch him on May 14.
The 53-year-old, of Corrie Crescent, admitted causing fear and alarm by shouting and swearing at the employee - then throwing a phone and a number of hotel items and making threats.
He also pleaded guilty to a charge of assault after repeatedly attempting to punch the man.
Sheriff Laura Mundell deferred sentence for criminal justice social work reports; Walker was ordained to return to Kilmarnock Sheriff Court next month to find out his fate.
