A FORMER charity shop in Stevenston which has closed earlier this year has now been sold.
The former DEBRA UK store on Fullarton Place was listed for sale in May, a short time after it was announced that the shop would be shutting "until further notice".
The organisation, which supports people with the skin condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB), had a Stevenston branch, which specialised in furniture.
The property, at Stevenston Cross was advertised for sale through TSA Property Consultants with an asking price of £295,000 - or for rent at a cost of £35,000 per annum.
Previously a Kwik Save supermarket, the sale also included a 30-space car park which can be accessed from nearby Glebe Street.
The Herald understands that locals have raised concerns regarding the travelling community using the car park on a number of occasions over the years.
TSA has updated the property listing on its website to describe the property as 'sold' - after the sale price was cut to £190,000 and the annual rent to £23,000.
No further details have been provided on who has purchased the building.
