A Kilwinning school P7 class are on a fundraising mission to make sure their last year at primary is one to remember.
Pupils in their final year at St Winning's will be taking part in a sponsored walk tomorrow, Wednesday, November 29, in a bid to raise cash to help give them a great big send off before they head to secondary school.
The final year pupils will be leaving the school early in the morning, walking to Eglinton Park and back to the school for lunch after a quick snack in the park.
Pupils have been working hard to rally round sponsors with all funds going toward putting on a number of activities for the class throughout the year.
Times may be tough but these children are all coming together with this the first of a number of events planned throughout the year.
They hope that as a result of their efforts they will be able to put on an end of year prom, as well as fund further activities and purchase leavers hoodies before they head to "the big school".
Parents have come together to form a committee to handle the fundraising and are hoping kind local people and business can get on board.
A spokesperson said: "If any local businesses would like to donate we are happy to accept anything, cash, decorations, ferry tickets, cinema tickets, sweets for trips, anything at all."
Already the Lemon Tree restaurant in the town have got on board and are displaying a sponsorship form at the venue.
While Woolgar Hunter Engineers Ltd in Glasgow have already made a donation to the cause.
Anyone who believes they may be able to help out can get in touch with fundraisers from the school by emailing familyfundraisingstw@outlook.com.
