The communities of the Three Towns and West Kilbride have raised the magnificent sum of £20,420 so far during this year's Poppy Appeal.
The donations for 2023 have reached a total of £17,718, with another £2,702 raised in sales from from the poppy shop.
The local cadets also made a major contribution, with more than £2,400 raised from the collection efforts in Saltcoats and Ardrossan.
The Poppy Appeal's local organiser Paul Swainson said the amount raised was the second best in the area's history and thanked everyone for their incredible efforts.
Mr Swainson said: "I, along with our team of helpers, wish to express our thanks to our community for the generosity that was received in donations.
"All the shops and trade outlets will have by now received your thank you certificates and we are very happy to have delivered them personally.
"It was a proud sight on Saturday, November 11 when our Royal British Legion branch held Remembrance services at all our local war memorials.
"All cadets came to attention at 11am for the minute's silence and the streets stood still in respect too. We thank you all for that moment.
"Our communities of West Kilbride, Ardrossan, Saltcoats, and Stevenston should be very proud of the commitment you have made to Poppy Scotland Poppy Appeal. Thank you all."
