THE winners of an annual art competition run by a local Rotary club have been revealed.
Eleven primary schools from Saltcoats, Stevenston, West Kilbride and Largs took part in the 'literacy arts' competition run by the Rotary Club of Hunterston - which, according the the club, made it one of the most successful years in the contest's history.
Alex Blair, the club's president and the competition's organiser, said: "It was great to bring this exciting competition back once again.
"This year, pupils had the opportunity of entering one of three categories on the subject of a book chosen by their school.
"Three finalists from Primaries 1 though 7 were selected by their teachers to go forward for final selection by local North Ayrshire library staff in each town.
"The standard of entries was extremely high and we were delighted by the talent and enthusiasm shown by all the primary pupils who took part in this year's competition."
Prizegivings which were held recently in each library, were attended by pupils, school staff, family members and library staff.
Mr Blair added: “I’d like to thank the staff in our local libraries who helped with the final judging of all competition entries.”
