CalMac have announced timetable changes for the Ardrossan to Brodick service at the start of 2024.
The ferry company confirmed on Thursday that due to delays in their annual overhaul programme, MV Isle of Arran and MV Alfred will now operate the service during most of the month.
MV Alfred - which operated on the route last summer - will return to the Ardrossan-Brodick service on January 2, providing extra sailings from Ardrossan at 8am and 4.35pm and from Brodick at 9.30am and 5.55pm.
On Wednesday, January 3, the following timetable will operate with MV Caledonian Isles and MV Alfred
Depart Ardrossan: 7am, 8am, 9.45am, 12.30pm, 3.20pm, 4.25pm and 6pm.
Depart Brodick: 8.20am, 9.30am, 11.05am, 1.55pm, 4.40pm, 5.55pm, and 7.20pm.
Both MV Isle of Arran and MV Alfred will operate the Arran service from Thursday, January 2 to Wednesday, January 24, 2024 - due to the delays to the overhaul programme.
A full timetable for services during that period is expected to be confirmed by the company later on Thursday.
The news comes amid ongoing disruption to the Arran service as a result of Storm Pia, which has seen services cancelled since Tuesday this week - and prompted a warning from CalMac to people hoping to travel to or from the island for Christmas to travel as soon as possible.
