Concerns have been raised over a Stevenston store being left without heating for several weeks.
It is understood that staff working at the B&M shop, based in Hawkhill retail park, have resorted to wearing their coats, hats and gloves as a result.
A concerned customer, who asked not to be identified, claimed the heating system had been broken for "five or six weeks" but "little attempt" had been made by bosses to promptly sort the issue.
They added: "Staff at the checkouts are frozen even with multiple layers on."
A spokesperson for B&M confirmed the store was experiencing issues with the heating system - with temporary fixes put in place to help alleviate the problem.
They said: "Fixing the broken heating system is our highest priority to ensure our customers and colleagues have a comfortable experience in our Stevenson store.
"We've been working to repair this, and the fix will be complete in the coming weeks.
"In the meantime, the store has been supplied with temporary heaters to cover the timeframe leading up to the repair."
