A special event has been organised in Saltcoats to find a forever home for Ayrshire's own 'dog with a blog' Shug.
The popular pup has become a star since he was brought to K9 Country Club & Spa in Saltcoats by police and the Ayrshire Drone Dog Rescue (ADDR) team.
Shug has adapted well since his arrival, but has some paw problems and needs to build up his strength.
And he's been winning fans across Ayrshire since his blog began on the K9 Country Club & Spa Facebook page last month.
Now ADDR are organising a 'meet and greet' at the Saltcoats venue on Sunday, January 28 from 12-3pm.
The event will include a raffle as well as lots of opportunities to meet Shug and see if you could be his forever family.
A tour of the K9 Country Club kennels and facilities is included, along with an educational talk from ADDR with information on what to do when your dog is missing.
At the time Shug was brought to K9, ADDR said in a social media post: "Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions for our volunteers.
"Thank you to Police Scotland for assisting us bringing Shug back into our care.
"A massive thanks to the staff and vet at Vets4Pets Ayr. They very kindly waived the consultation fee and kennel cough vaccination and really looked after Shug during our visit. He was one happy boy.
"Catherine and Steve at Petcayr by T&G Hutchison, Ayr donated treats and raw tripe to help him start on building back up to an acceptable weight.
"Christy and her mum at K9 Country Club and Spa, Saltcoats, have very kindly offered to give him kennel space and daycare, free of charge, until a suitable home can be found for him.
"We are looking for a caring home for this affectionate boy. Without the urgency of previous situations, we can be patient in finding the ideal home where Shug will be cared for, ensuring his worries are limited to choosing his favourite toys and treats!"
Shug is now really looking forward to meeting new friends and finding a new home and said on TikTok: "I’m hoping to find the comfiest couch and a best friend, please share."
In his latest blog entry, posted on Sunday, Shug wrote: "Dis morning was very chilly and when the hooman came to wake me up and take me out I was still quite sleepy in my cosy bed.
"I went outside and suddenly the frost somehow activated my zoomies! I couldn't stop! Crazy Shug came out and it was so much fun.
"The hooman was laffin at me and we played chases. I winned! We had some snuggles on the couch and I had a good back scratch.
"The other hooman brought my new furiends to see me again, it was great fun to run around the arena with them.
"You won't believe what I did this afternoon. Heck, I'm the luckiest pupper alive - I went to the BEACH!
"My ADDR frens came to see me and took me on an adventure. It was pawsome!!
"The water felt good on my toes and the hoomans said I should go out more often to help them heal.
"I saw so man'y things and I was sooper sleepy when I got home. I hope to get to go again soon.
"Love and licks, Shug."
