A former dessert shop in Ardrossan is set to reopen following a refurbishment.

The old Vanilla N Creamz store on Harbour Place has been closed for a number of months as the renovation project got underway.

Apart from a Facebook post in September last year announcing a delay, the owners had provided little information about the shop's reopening date.

However, it has now been confirmed that the store will be welcoming customers once again from Friday, January 26.

The business is set to have a different look after undergoing a complete remodel.

A spokesperson said that customers will soon be able to "experience the delicious taste of exceptional kebabs" at the business, which will now be known as 'O Geez'.

Ardrossan and Saltcoats Herald: The business has advertised re-opening after undergoing refurbishment works.

They said they will be offering high-quality meats served in freshly baked bread, which will be complemented with "exclusive sauces."

However, the change does not suggest that sweet treats will be completely off the menu, with a new website set up for the business adding further description to their advertisement.

It states: "O Geez is the best Burger and dessert Shop in Ardrossan, chock full of sweet and savoury dishes that are sure to satisfy all your cravings.

"From fluffy, American-style waffle stacks to House Donners and refreshing Milkshakes, we have a wide variety of options to suit any palate."
