A kind-hearted Ayrshire dad is once again stepping up to help those in need.
Michael Kirkum, a selfless Kilwinning resident, has been giving back during holiday periods for over a decade.
During Christmas and Easter, this fundraising hero appeals for donations from locals and business owners to bring joy to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock.
A recent festive donation drive marked a milestone as Michael's appeal assisted its 20,000th child spending the holidays in the hospital.
In what was described as his "best year yet", he gathered donations worth around £7,000, with the gifts being passed on to the children's ward at the Ayrshire hospital.
After a brief break over the new year, Michael is once again looking for support as he begins his campaign to make a big Easter donation for youngsters at Crosshouse.
Michael said: "This year's appeal is launching soon for Crosshouse children's ward. Last year, you donated over 1,500 Easter eggs to the local charity - please only donate what you can as times are tough."
Anyone who feels they can help with the appeal can contact Michael on 079 61 540 780 or via his Facebook page facebook.com/michael.kirkum.71.
His son Michael Kirkum Junior will also be assisting in the appeal and can also be contacted on Facebook at facebook.com/michael.kirkum.
