Royal British Legion Scotland members from the Three Towns joined with guests to mark Holocaust Day on Saturday, January 27.
A service was held at Saltcoats War Memorial at 11am to remember all those lost in the Holocaust and in recent genocides such as those in Rwanda, Bosnia, and Cambodia.
This year's theme was The Fragility of Freedom and there was a good turnout of members from the Saltcoats, Ardrossan and Stevenston legion branch as well as friends and guests.
International Holocaust Day was established in 2005 by the United Nations as a day of remembrance for all victims of genocide.
The date of January 27 was chosen to commemorate the date when the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by the Red Army in 1945.
