Ferries to Arran are set to resume tomorrow - weather permitting - but sailings to the island will be leaving to and from Troon Harbour, not Ardrossan.
CalMac made the switch to Troon earlier week this because of strong easterly winds ruling Ardrossan Harbour out of action until Monday.
However, the same strong winds led CalMac to cancel Troon sailings yesterday (Thursday, February 8).
The Arran service will remain out of action today, but, if the weather is kind tomorrow, MV Isle of Arran will operate the main Brodick service out of Troon.
Shuttle buses will be put on to take passengers between Troon - where parking is limited - and Ardrossan.
The service from Ardrossan Harbour to Brodick should resume on Monday.
A CalMac spokesperson said: "Due to adverse weather of Easterly winds, MV Isle of Arran will operate the main Arran service out of Troon on Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11.
"Please do not arrive at Troon without a booking, all passengers must have a booking to travel on this service. Please note, only booked commercial and car traffic should travel to Troon directly and must remain in their cars in the port area."
"Foot passengers are asked to park their cars in Ardrossan and travel by bus provided. The bus will transport passengers through Troon terminal and on to the vessel. Transport will be provided to Troon via bus service. There is no car parking facility or drop off/waiting area at Troon.
"Foot passengers with bookings can also travel to Troon by train and a shuttle bus will be provided to transport customers to Troon ferry terminal. Shuttle bus times can be found at https://www.calmac.co.uk/service-changes/arran-service-february-2024-ardrossan-troon-shuttle-bus-service
"On Saturday, February 10, due to operational reasons, the following timetable will operate:
Depart Troon – 7am, 12.30pm and 4.40pm. Depart Brodick - 10.10am, 2.2pm and 6.30pm.
On Sunday, February 11, the following timetable will operate: Depart Troon - 8.45a,, 12.55pm 5.05pm. Depart Brodick - 10.35am, 2.45 and 6.55pm.
"Please be advised that vehicle traffic should not travel to Troon unless you have a confirmed booking. If you do not have a booking, you will not be accommodated as we have a large number of displaced traffic caused by weather cancellations on Friday, February 9.
"Foot passengers are also being reminded that they should make a booking prior to travelling otherwise onward travel cannot be guaranteed. Standby facilities are not available at Troon."
