A PAIR of young darts stars who are plying their trade in North Ayrshire are to appear on the big stage at a major event tonight, Thursday February 15.
The darts Premier League is to be played in Glasgow tonight with a huge crowd expected to turn out at the OVO Hydro to watch some of the biggest names in the sport.
But before the likes of Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen take to the stage, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of two up-and-coming youngsters from the North Ayrshire Darts Academy (NADA).
Back in December Kyle Davidson, from Kilwinning, and Mitchell Lawrie, of Renfrew, were part of the Scottish darts team who travelled to play in the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC) World Cup.
The four-strong team battled past six other countries - including England - to be crowned world champions at the event.
It is that very achievement which will see the quartet brought onto the big stage at 6.50pm tonight - shortly before the main event gets underway.
A NADA spokesperson commented: "Anyone heading to the Premier League at the Hydro get in early as there will be some very familiar faces being called to the stage around 6.50pm to be presented with the JDC World Cup in front of their home crowd.
"Good luck team Scotland, and a special good luck to oor wee Kyle and oor wee Mitchell - have a great night boys."
