POLICE have conducted another operation as part of their investigation into the murder of Alan Lawson.
The force has confirmed that a block of flats in Ardrossan were searched as part of the ongoing probe into the death of the 36-year-old.
The latest raid came little more than 24 hours after cops locked down part of Canal Street in Saltcoats where armed officers stormed a property as part of their enquiries.
But on both occasions, no arrests were made as a result of the operation.
Officers descended on the flats, which sit adjacent to the Asda supermarket car park and Harbour Street, which form part of the Winton Buildings.
It is understood that both uniformed and plain clothed officers entered the building at around 7pm on Thursday, February 15.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were in attendance as part of enquiries into the death of Alan Lawson.
"Enquiries are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry."
Alan Lawson is believed to have been brutally assaulted at a property in Alexander Avenue, Largs, last weekend.
He was then left for dead at his home in New England Road, Saltcoats, on Sunday, February 4, and died from his injuries in hospital two days later.
Police have been hunting the killer, or killers, since the day following his death when a murder investigation was officially launched.
