A PUBLISHED poet is set to launch a young writers group in Stevenston later this month.
Claire Wolff will be hosting weekly sessions which will begin on Monday, March 11, running from 4pm to 5.30pm.
The sessions will be taking place at the Doon the Beach Cafe in Stevenston and children aged nine to 14 are eligible to attend the classes.
All stationery will be supplied for those attending the classes which will cost £5 per week though payments will be taken on a monthly basis.
Children heading along to the sessions can expect to learn how to create characters, invent storylines, plan out a story and create comic books as well as being taught to write genres such as poetry, flash fiction and short stories.
Host Claire will also be holding regular 'parents evenings' to showcase work completed throughout the classes.
She said: "If you have a young person who loves to write their own stories and be creative, then this is the perfect group - a fun, friendly space to let your imagination free.
"Your stories and creations will be displayed for parents and the community, and printed out for you to take home once completed."
Those interested in attending the classes can contact 07432 711 449 to find out more.
