STEVENSTON High Kirk is to host a congregational lunch before they bid farewell to the historic church.
The building on Schoolwell Street is set to close by July this year as part of the wider presbytery mission plan for the west of Scotland.
At this time, members of kirk will unite with those from other parishes in the town at Livingstone Church.
Though before their final service a lunch is to be held as the congregation look to celebrate the life of the High Kirk.
This will take place on Sunday, June 16, at the Lauriston in Ardrossan from 12.30pm.
The congregation were told about the event with "mixed feelings" earlier this month as worshipers look to "mark the life of the High Kirk".
All members are welcome to come along, with the church extending their invitation to those who may have been unable to physically attend services in recent times.
Those wishing to attend will receive a three course meal as well as tea and coffee at a cost of £25.
Children are also able to attend with a three course meal costing £10.50 or two course coming at a price of £8.95.
Anyone who would like to attend the event should contact the church for more information. Final payments are to be made by June 9.
