The Saltcoats Sea Queen Festival has received a generous boost from St Cuthbert's Sunday School - with a little bit of help from the leading royal at last year's event.
The 2023 Sea Queen Naomi Brogan encouraged her friends at the Sunday School to collect their loose change to help the festival - raising £80.
And the Sea Queen Committee were delighted when they were presented with the cash last week.
Committe member Maria Paterson said: "It was totally unexpected when they brought the cheque to us. It was a lovely gesture."
The Sea Queen Festival returned last year, after a five year gap, and was a big hit with locals and holidaymakers.
Plans are already in hand for this summer's festival, with the group's first fund-raiser of the year proving a big success.
The event in Saltcoats Labour Club on February 23 starred 'gentleman hypnotist' Tom Pierre and was followed by music and karaoke.
All the funds raised will go towards the 2024 Sea Queen Festival.
