PUPILS at a primary school in Saltcoats have brought colourful characters from their favourite books to life in style.
Dykesmains Primary was one of many schools across North Ayrshire to embrace the fun of World Book Day on Thursday, March 7.
In fact, the World Book Day celebrations at Dykesmains weren't limited to Thursday.
Events at the school lasted all week, with guest readers popping into classes, including teachers, pupils and members of the library committee.
North Ayshire MP Patricia Gibson even paid a visit to the school to gift some books and talk to the pupils about her love of literature.
It all culminated on March 7, when pupils dressed as their favourite literary characters and had a whale of a time delving into their most loved books.
Judging by these pics from photographer Charlie Gilmour, everybody at the school had a marvellous time.
