A WEDDING fayre with a twist is taking place in Saltcoats this weekend.
On Saturday, March 16, the town will play host to a 'pre-loved' bridal fayre - giving couples the chance to pick up some bargains in the hope of reducing the often eye-watering cost of tying the knot.
From 2pm until 6pm a number of businesses will be at The Training Station - the building next to the Saltcoats railway station ticket office - all set for a day of "wedding madness".
Organised by local firm The Bridal Shower, there will be a number of pre-loved occasion garments on display, showing how the industry can be more affordable, sustainable and ethical.
Around a dozen suppliers of all things wedding will be at the event and they are all ready to let you know how they can make your big day extra special.
Tickets are currently available for the event and can be purchased online at tinyurl.com/PrelovedWeddingFayre for a price of £3. Entry can also be gained at the door on the day at a cost of £5.
