A SALTCOATS salon team have been hailed as the best in their trade throughout the whole of Scotland.
Staff from Abundance Hair and Beauty in the town had a lot to celebrate after they attended The Scottish Wedding Awards in Glasgow earlier this month.
Up against competition from seven other salons, the Hamilton Street team were named 'best wedding hair and makeup salon' in the south-west of Scotland early in the night.
But even better was to come as Abundance triumphed ahead of all the other regional winners to be named the very best in Scotland.
It was a landmark moment for owner Vicky Bryce, who first set up the business in October of 2016.
Only months after opening, Abundance won their first ever award at the very same ceremony back in 2017 - with Vicky saying it was a dream to fill a wall full of awards just like that one.
"Fast forward to 2024 and the wall that I once dreamed of filling with awards is full," she said.
"I am honestly so proud beyond belief. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet.
"Special thanks to Tracie Henderson, our amazingly positive manager at Abundance. We had such a fab night and I feel so blessed to have you."
Vicky also heaped praise on team member Chloe Gemmell for her expert makeup work with the bridal parties who choose Abundance - and also for doing the team's makeup ahead of the awards ceremony.
Chloe is now setting out on a new career path, but will remain part of the Abundance team for weddings in the future.
Vicky continued: "Thank you to our Jenni Fernie for her natural talent in Hollywood waves. I am so proud to see some of our brides request Jenni to do their hair for their big day.
"Also, massive to my business mindset coaches Caroline and Carla. What an amazing Jedi journey!
"And last but not least my amazing husband Greig and daughter Ruby, my friends and family for supporting me always and being my number one fans."
Now, Vicky and her team of Alex Christie, Jenni Fernie, Abbie Vogan, Jade Mcmeechan, Libby Nelany, and Tracie Henderson have their sights set on further success.
Having been chosen as the best in Scotland, Abundance is now in the running to be named the best in their category across the whole of the UK.
After filling in the extensive submission criteria, the salon has been confirmed as a nominee and will head to the finals in Birmingham in June hoping to come home with an even bigger prize.
