Garnock Valley couple Jim and Rebecca Whyte celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends last week.
Jim, 82, Rebecca, 80, marked the occasion with a party at Garnock Social Club, where they were joined by their three children plus grandkids, great-grandkids and their own brothers and sisters.
And there were a few tears shed at the club when the diamond couple enjoyed a wee first dance on the floor.
Jim is originally from Kilbirnie and Rebecca from Beith. They were joined by loads of friends from the local bowling club for the special night and a grand time was had by all.
Ayrshire's Deputy Lord Lieutenant James Hair was there to present the couple with a card from the King and Queen.
The social club was their 'local' for many years back in the days when it was the Garnock Labour Club.
Grandaughter Lee-Ann McNaughton said. "They had a great night with a lot of friends and family members there.
"They also took to the floor for their first dance and I was tearing up a bit as I watched them."
Congratulations to the couple from all at the Herald.
