THE North Ayrshire Foodbank has thanked a kind hearted Three Towns sports coach for making an eggs-cellent donation to the charity.
Blair Gray from BG Sports Performance, alongside a number of his clients, generously donated a number of bags full of Easter eggs to the Ardrossan-based charity ahead of the holiday.
The foodbank say that Blair's donation - alongside that of his clients Callum Black, Reece Cunningham, Ross McKinnon, Scott Conway and Sean Pentleton - will help "ensure families enjoy a chocolate treat over Easter".
A charity spokesperson added: "Thank you all for this kind act. Have a great Easter!"
Blair said he was more than happy to contribute after he and has clients raised around £100 to assist in making the donation.
He commented: "Hopefully this can make a positive impact on a few lives and families this year.
"It’s easy to forget that people have so little that even a thing as small as giving their children some chocolate on Easter is out of reach for them
"It’s even easier to take for granted how lucky and comfortable some of us are."
