The Arran ferry will be sailing from Troon for most of Wednesday after strong winds ruled Ardrossan harbour out of action.
Ferry operators CalMac announced this afternoon that the service would divert to the South Ayrshire port on Wednesday, April 3 after the 7am sailing from Ardrossan.
The company said: "Due to a forecast of strong easterly winds, MV Isle of Arran will operate an amended timetable on Wednesday, April.
"Following the 7am service from Ardrossan-Brodick, the remainder of Wednesday’s sailings will be diverted to/from Troon-Brodick."
The Wednesday timetable is as follows.
- Depart Ardrossan 7am, arrive Brodick 7.55am
- Depart Brodick 8.50am, arrive Troon 10.10am
- Depart Troon 11.10am, arrive Brodick 12.30pm
- Depart Brodick 1.50pm, arrive Troon 3.10pm.
- Depart Troon 4.10pm, arrive Brodick 5.30pm
- Depart Brodick 6pm, arrive Troon 7.20pm
CalMac's spokesperson added: "If you have a booking for travel on Wednesday, April 3 which is affected by this disruption, then our team will be in contact with you to provide further information."
The chartered ferry MV Alfred will continue to operate the published Troon-Brodick service tomorrow.
