A POPULAR fast food chain has announced a change in the operation hours of their Stevenston branch.

McDonald's at the Hawkhill Retail Park previously operated from around 5am each morning until 1am.

However, in recent weeks it has been noted that this does not appear to be the case.

The business has now made a move similar to that seen at their other North Ayrshire branch in Irvine - which is open 24 hours per day.

This is nearly the case in Stevenston which is now open 24 hours for six days of the week.

From Tuesday-Sunday it is now a case of all hours service for all of your fast food needs, although Mondays will see the restaurant open for a shorter period of 5am until 11pm.

The company recently unveiled proposals to build a new drive-through restaurant elsewhere in the same retail park. 

The plans, if approved, would free up the unit occupied by the existing restaurant for other retail use.
