ARDROSSAN Accies have hailed their first team captain after he made his milestone 250th appearance for the side - on the day they lifted only the third league trophy in their history.
Stuart Lamont has spent many years dedicated to the club, having begun his rugby journey as part of the Accies' youth set-up.
Few days will have been as special in all that time, though, as last Saturday, when Accies were presented with the West Division One trophy a week after clinching the title.
And it made the 250th Accies appearance for 'Lamo' all the more memorable as he became only the third captain in the club's history to hold a league trophy aloft following the 24-5 win over East Kilbride.
After enjoying their celebrations, the Accies have now moved to pay tribute to their remarkable captain for reaching the impressive milestone.
In a social media post an Accies spokesperson said: "Now the dust has settled on another brilliant weekend of rugby for the club we would just like to properly acknowledge Stuart Lamont on his 250th game for the club.
"Anyone who has watched Stuart play in any of his 250 games will know exactly how important he is to the team and the club.
"Always putting his body on the line for the team. He’s our captain, our leader and more importantly than anything he brings to the pitch is what a great guy he is off it.
"Here’s to 250 more."
