A DALRY school has launched a plea for donations to support a family at the school who lost everything in a house fire.
The appeal comes from St Palladius Primary School in the town, where staff have launched a plea to local residents to donate items that could help.
The fire happened on Sunday, April 21.
The school says the blaze has left the family, which includes four children under the age of five, at a complete loss.
Relatives have said that they have been left with "nothing but the clothes on their back".
The community at the Dalry school have now moved quickly in an effort to support the young family as they look to get back in their feet.
A school spokesperson explained: "As you may have heard, one of our families has had a house fire where they have lost everything.
"If you could help with any donations, they can be handed into school, and we will pass them onto the family."
Those wishing to make a donation can do so at the school on Roche Way.
The children's aunt has launched a GoFundMe page where money is being collected to support the family.
It says: "I’ve started this on behalf of my sister and her little ones. On April 21 her house burned down and they lost everything but the clothes on their back.
"She has three kids under five, plus a one-month-old baby, and is currently waiting to be put into accommodation, so any little helps to get them essentials and get them back on their feet.
"It’s all appreciated."
The appeal was launched on Monday with a target of £1,000, and as this article was published almost £900 had been donated.
