POLICE are appealing for assistance to help trace a man reported missing from the Isle of Arran.
Officers have, at this stage, established that William McKinstry travelled from Brodick to Troon on Tuesday, April 23.
After this, the last known sighting of the 40-year old was on Prestwick Road in Ayr on Wednesday, April 24 at around 8.10am.
William is described as five feet and nine inches tall with short black hair.
When last seen he was known to be wearing a dark blue top with ‘LBR Roofing’ written in white writing.
Police say that they believe he may still be in Ayr though there is a possibility he has now travelled elsewhere.
Sergeant Martin Lawrie said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for William’s wellbeing and are appealing to anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please get in touch.
“Our enquiries so far suggest he could be in the Ayr area however he could also have travelled elsewhere following his last known sighting.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4020 of Tuesday, April 23, 2024.”
