A STEVENSTON bar is on the lookout for support ahead of a planned charity fundraiser next month.
The Cross Keys on Fullarton Place will be holding an event for the Samaritans Charity on Sunday, June 16.
Named 'Shirley's Sunday Funday', the event will be held in honour of late community champion Shirley Morgan, who died in May 2022.
A day full of fun is planned with plenty of entertainment on offer with games, raffles and prizes to be won at the event.
There will also be live music performances from Dave Cairns and Jim Anderson, as well as karaoke.
And with little over a month still to go before the event The Cross Keys are now looking for further support to make sure the event is as great as it can possibly be.
They are now appealing to any local businesses to pledge donations "big or small" which can be offered as prizes in their raffle.
A spokesperson said: "We are still looking for any donations for this amazing day folks if anyone could dig deep we would be so grateful."
Anyone wishing to contact the bar can do so via their Facebook page at facebook.com/TheCrossKeysStevenston.
It's the latest in a series of initiatives in Stevenston to celebrate the life, and contribution to the community, of Shirley.
The switching-on of the town's Christmas lights in both 2022 and 2023 included tributes to the 49-year-old, while Ardeer Thistle's players and management created a hilarious Christmas video in her honour.
