The funfair is coming to Ardrossan's South Beach and for the first time, a special session has been organised for North Ayrshire youngsters with additional support needs (ASN).
Local group ASN Parents & Kids Irvine and Three Towns have organised the event, with the help of fairground operators Smiths Family Attractions.
The annual funfair on South Beach from will return this Friday, May 17 and run until May 27.
The special session for ASN kids will be held on Thursday, May 23 and will feature reduced numbers, reduced noise and no long queues. One carer will be allowed on for free for every person with ASN.
Parents can come along any time prior to the ASN event to buy tokens to save on queuing, but the tokens will still be available to purchase on the day of the big event.
The group's Amy Johnston said: "We have been working hard behind the scenes to introduce the very first ASN session.
"This is an absolutely fantastic opportunity for Smiths to be working with our group to allow ASN families to be included in a much loved week long event within the area.
"The atmosphere, the noise and the queues can all be too much, so we are delighted that Smiths have listened to the admins of ASN Parents & Kids Irvine and Three Towns to allow us a session that will be ASN friendly.
"The admins from ASN Ayrshire Support have also come on board to help our group and Smiths Family Attractions in the organisation and support of running the ASN session.
"We are hoping this will be the first of many to come and more businesses will follow suit."
